Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Model Reservoir, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Model Reservoir during the wintertime frequently sink into the 10's. Not far from Model Reservoir, you'll stumble on Mike       Gagliardi Reservoir which is a picturesque lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Model Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Trinidad. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Model Reservoir is pretty waterless typically; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Johns Lake is a lake that's close to Model Reservoir, and                  Super 8 Trinidad is a perfect spot to get some rest.
