Mix Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. So many cool things in the neighborhood of Mix Lake, truly impressive. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Mix Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mix Lake Campground; on a wonderful day you acquire a brilliant sight of Forest King Mountain from Mix Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Red Bear Inn, and going for a hike on       the Bear Lake Trail is always a good adventure. So many fun things to do here in the San Juan Mountains, too brilliant to be true. A great place to stop at next to Mix Lake is Sawmill Gulch; a pretty lake like Lilly Pond is a great place to check out. There's so much to do here at Mix Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stunner Campground is a brilliant place for that, and Platoro Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Man, is there                  loads of cool stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains. The Lake Fork Trail is a pleasant hiking trail next to Mix Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Conejos River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Chinook Smokehouse & Gifts is a pleasant choice. The warmest time of the year at Mix Lake comes with high temperatures in the 60's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mix Lake. Looking for some flowing water? Try Alum Creek, and nearby you discover the San Juan Stock Driveway which is a glorious hiking trail.
