Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Camping at Stunner Campground is always a great experience; hey, Alum Creek is a fine local stream. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Conejos River for all you adrenaline junkies, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mix Lake; San       Juan Stock Driveway is a nice local trail. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the duration of the summer, highs mostly are in the 60's at Mix Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; night lows all through the wintertime for Mix Lake tend to be in the 0's. Mix Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with lots of precipitation; the month with most of                  the snow is March, and June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is The Spruce Lodge; Mix Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Mix Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The vista of Forest King Mountain from Mix Lake is stunning; splendid hiking is available along the Lake Fork Trail. So many cool things right next door to Mix Lake, just mind-boggling. A picturesque lake like Platoro Reservoir in the neighborhood of Mix Lake is a great place to check out, and a fine place to check out is Sawmill Gulch.
