So much amusing stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not enough time. Go for a hike on the West Peak Trail, and going for a hike on the Apishapa Trail is always a magnificent adventure. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Walsenburg is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and if you're looking for some flowing       water? Try Jarosa Creek. Mitotes Lake is a location that is quite dry regularly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. If you need a place to stay Best Western Rambler is a magnificent choice; a perfect spot is Frio Canyon. There's so much to do here at Mitotes Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lathrop is a wonderful place for that, and lakes are such serene places, why not visit Sunnyside Reservoir. This                  place, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. If you came to camp Dakota Campground is a fine place to do that; there are other places here than Mitotes Lake, for example Arnold Flood Water Reservoir. Having a perfect time at Mitotes Lake is easy. Near Mitotes Lake you come across the Wahatoya Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail; Apishapa Dam is a site that is in the vicinity of Mitotes Lake. At Mitotes Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
