The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mitchell Lake Number 1, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Mitchell Lake Number 1 dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mitchell Lake Number 1 that you need to camp here for       a while, Bellaire Lake Campground is a tremendous location for that, also Nakomis Lake Dam is worth a visit while you're here. Going for a hike on the Killpecker Trail is always a great adventure, and get soaked paddling on Cache La Poudre River. This site, the Medicine Bow Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. After a long day outdoors Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. The Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail is a                  good hiking trail near Mitchell Lake Number 1, and Fox Acres Country Club is a golf course close by. Mitchell Lake Number 1 is pretty dried out commonly; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Mitchell Lake Number 1. If you get bored of Mitchell Lake Number 1, you could also go to nearby Apache Lake, and if you came to camp Creedmore Lakes Campground is a nice site to do that. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. There is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Mitchell Lake Number 1 called the North Lone Pine Trail; glide down the rapids of Cache La Poudre River in a kayak.
