If you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some brilliant whitewater, and going for a hike along the Killpecker Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Mitchell Lake Number 1 is peerless! This is a fine area for people who like lakes. Hiawatha Lake is a lake close       at hand, and a golf course nearby is Fox Acres Country Club. Be careful coming to the Medicine Bow Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest is a great local campground, and drift down the rapids of Cache La Poudre River in a kayak. There's always Nakomis Lake Dam to visit in the neighborhood of Mitchell Lake Number 1; hiking along the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail is pleasant fun. Mitchell Lake Number 1 is                  located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Bellaire Lake Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the North Lone Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mitchell Lake Number 1.
