This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the vicinity of Missouri Lakes? Fancy Lake is close at hand; the top of Savage Peak is easily seen from Missouri Lakes. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Missouri       Lakes with overnight lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows at Missouri Lakes all through the winter frequently plunge into the 0's. A pleasant site to camp here at Missouri Lakes is Elk Wallow Campground, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eagle River. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. It is very dehydrated here at Missouri Lakes usually; of                  all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. While you're here at Missouri Lakes you will meet lots of folks from nearby Edwards, and the Last Chance Trail offers hiking at its best. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do right next door to Missouri Lakes. Missouri Lakes is not the only location close by, Treasure Vault Lake is a close by lake, and nearby Fancy Pass is a delightful location to go. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Beaver Creek is near Missouri Lakes, and the skiing at Vail is great. If only every location had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great globe it would be. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Missouri Lakes; Fall Creek Trail is a good local trail; if you need a site to stay Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a brilliant choice. This lake is so wonderful.
