Monument Dam is a wonderful site next to Minnesota Reservoir, and a nice site to camp here at Minnesota Reservoir is Crystal Meadows Ranch. Visit Deer Creek if you're here at Minnesota Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sunset Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Minnesota Pass Trail, and Minnesota Reservoir is not the only site close by, Monument Reservoir is a       close by lake. There's whitewater on Gunnison River - North Fork for all you thrill seekers, and a nice place nearby is Horse Gulch. Minnesota Reservoir gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month of the year is June. Summertime highs at Minnesota Reservoir usually tend to be in the 80's, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
