After a long day outdoors Elk Run Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two; why not take a little tour to Willow Creek while you're here. Indian Run Campground is a great local campground, and Sedimentation Pond HG-5 Reservoir is a tremendous lake nearby. Mills Pond is frequently a rather dehydrated spot; during the month of October you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January. Lone Gulch is a nice location to visit close by.

 | 17 miles away I've been going to Yampa since I was around 5 years of age. I'm not usually too keen on seeing new hotels being established in sleepy mountain towns, but The Oak Tree Inn is an exception. It's a welcome addition to this amazing little town and a great retreat when the snows come.... |
