Why not stop by Mills Lake if you're passing through these parts. Good hiking is available along the Glacier Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mills Lake has to offer, you can camp at Moraine Park Campground. Not much rain falls here at Mills Lake; the month with most of the rain is August; November is when it's the driest. you could stop by, and Estes Park Condos is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are great places to discover along the Loch Vale Trail; a nice site is Andrews Pass.
