Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Jewel Lake, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Alberta Falls. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Mills Lake,       you'll locate Shelf Lake which is a beautiful lake, and the Long Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. Mills Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and November is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Front Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Why not camp at Moraine Park Campground while you're here at Mills Lake, and get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Saint Vrain Creek - South. So many exciting things close to Mills Lake, clearly fantastic. Berthoud Pass is a perfect local ski area. Aspen Lodge is a fine location to get some rest, and camping is available at Glacier Basin Campground. Having a splendid time at Mills Lake is simple. You get a delightful panorama of Arrowhead from Mills Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mills Lake; Loch Vale Trail is a good local trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Mills Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 30's.
