This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Long Peak Trail, and Glacier Basin Campground is a great local campground. Summertime at Mills Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. During the moonlight       hours it's regularly in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Mills Lake. Mills Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. A day on the slopes of Berthoud Pass is just what you need. Why not have a look at nearby Andrews Creek if you're here at Mills Lake; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - North. Go for a hike on the Loch                  Vale Trail; a spree to Rocky Mountain National Park is worthwhile. What a location this is for outdoors folks. There's great hiking along the Glacier Creek Trail; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Saint Vrain Creek - South. Alberta Falls is a magnificent local attraction. Lakes are great; Shelf Lake is a lake that's next to Mills Lake. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing things to do in the Front Range. A fine close by hotel is Estes Park Condos, and obviously, this is a perfect neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Jewel Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Mills Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Moraine Park Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby, and Andrews Pass is a good spot to have a look at. It is very dehydrated here at Mills Lake commonly; most of the rain falls during August while November is usually the driest month.
