If you are traveling by, why not stop by Mill Lake. All year is a fine time in the Sawatch Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a very good place to stop at close to Mill Lake, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Gunsight Trail. Around Mill Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is generally December, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest of the months

Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Mill Lake. If you need a location to stay The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company is a great choice; you're possibly hooked on lakes, Lamphier Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Taylor River; Monarch is a delightful local ski area. Mill Lake is located in the Sawatch Range.

too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Sawatch Range. Mill Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Gold Creek Campground is a great local campground, and needless to say, this is a wonderful region for folks who
like lakes, Carter Lake is a lake nearby. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Mill Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and
winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Mill Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A good location close to Mill Lake is Gunsight Pass; a fine location to camp here at Mill Lake is Comanche Campground.
Going for a hike along the
Gunsight Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; the summit of Broncho Mountain can be observed from Mill Lake. While you're here at Mill Lake you can take a hike along the Onemile Trail; Lamphier Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at.
