Lakes are such serene locations, why not take a look at Calhoun Reservoir close to Mile High Lakes, and whitewater paddling       is great on South Platte River. Summer at Mile High Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mile High Lakes. Around Mile High Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is May while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Mile High Lakes is wonderful enough to spend more than                  a day at, Denver Northeast Pepper Pod is a wonderful local campground, and Bowles Reservoir Number 2 is a magnificent lake nearby. Be careful coming to Mile High Lakes, you might not ever want to go back home again.
