Dry warm beds await you at The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company, and hiking along the Chapman Trail is tremendous fun. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Midway Lake. If you need a place to stay VillaHotel Bears Creek is a delightful
choice, and Midway Lake is right by the Sawyer Lake Trail.

Stay the night at Upper Grottos Campground, needless to say you could also explore Scott Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Aspen Mountain is a nice place to do that, and going for a hike along the Last Chance Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Near Midway Lake you locate Midway Pass which is a great place to go to, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Lost Man Reservoir is just a very short distance away.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Roaring Fork. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Midway Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lincoln Gulch Campground.

Mosca Campground
16 miles away
We've camped here since our now 40ish childrlen were young. They are now taking their children there. Mosca is beautiful both to the eye and the heart. It is a little more difficult now that there is no potable water, but one can use lake water for dishes, and must bring in drinking and cooking water.Fishing is great - the deer put on a show eve4ry night. The camp hostess, Mary, is there is to help you with problems, and to give great advice.Other than the water problem, this is the greatest camp ground I've ever occupied!...

LEDE Reservoir
17 miles away
Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir.  We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection.  After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests.  A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir.  It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well.  We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum....
