     You truly should like the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you get bored of Middle Ute Lake, you could also have a look at nearby West Ute Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Whitehead Trail. Middle Ute Lake gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. So many fun things to do at Middle Ute Lake, so little time. Hiking along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway is glorious  
   fun, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Silverton while you're here.
Middle Ute Lake is right by the Deer Park Trail, and if you came to camp Lost Trail Campground is a brilliant place to do that. Man, is there a load of entertaining stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A lake close by is Twin Lakes, and you can run the rapids of Animas River. High temperatures at Middle Ute Lake during the summer are in the 70's, and
 
               the night is somewhat chillier of course, typically in the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Middle Ute Lake temperatures fall to the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. At Middle Ute Lake you can make out Buffalo Peak, and skiing at Kendall Mountain is one of those things you just should do. Middle Ute Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's so much to do here at Middle Ute Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Vallecito Campground is a nice site for that, and Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a fine place to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Vallecito Creek.
