     This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on San Miguel River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Hanks Valley is a brilliant location to spend some time. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Hampton Inn Montrose is a good choice, and you can go for a hike on the Horsefly Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
Just can't get enough of Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir. Whitewater
 
   paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Miguel River, and Iron Spring Campground is a perfect campground nearby. While you're here at Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir, you could also take a look at charming Tarantula Reservoir, and a short trip to Burnt Stump Spring is always worthwhile. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This is a popular spot for people from Montrose,  
               and you can stay the night at Antone Spring Campground.
Getting to Hanks Creek from Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir is uncomplicated, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir; Paradox Road is a delightful local trail. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Fisher Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and tremendous hiking is available along the Dry Creek Trail.
All through the months of summer highs here at Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir reach the 80's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Middle Sanborn Park Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
