Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Middle Reservoir is close to Middle Monitor Dam which is a picturesque site beyond doubt worth a visit. There's so much to do here at Middle Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Smokehouse Campground is a brilliant place for that. The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All the outdoors exciting things in the       Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back many times. If you came to camp Antone Spring Campground is a brilliant spot to do that; going for a hike along the Monitor Mesa Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Summertime at Middle Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 30's; after the sun is                  down all through the wintertime temperatures at Middle Reservoir plunge into the 10's. Be careful coming to Middle Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return home again. Not far from Middle Reservoir, you'll locate Big Monitor Reservoir Number 2 which is a delightful lake, and whitewater paddling is delightful on San Miguel River. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Escalante Creek, and during your spree here you'll meet some people from Montrose for sure. Lakes are wonderful; Lower Ed Lee Number 2 Reservoir is a lake that's near Middle Reservoir, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Moore Mesa Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Sundance is a tremendous place to get some rest, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Delta is a fine location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Middle Reservoir, you could visit Little Monitor Creek, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Cottonwood Trail.
