Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Middle Lake is one of them. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Middle Lake. Hiking along the Lake Charles Trail is splendid fun, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Eagle River. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Rainbow Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and Fulford Cave Campground is a delightful campground nearby.

For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Middle Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Vail is a very popular ski area around here.
And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool things to do in the Sawatch Range. York Creek is a great local stream, and after a long day outdoors Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a wonderful
place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Lake Thomas; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Eagle River. This is no place for people who don’t
like to enjoy themselves. A round of golf at nearby Beaver Creek Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time, and people from Edwards love to come here.
It is very arid here at Middle Lake ordinarily; July is the month that gets
the most rain; the driest month is February. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Dry warm beds await you at Arrowhead Village; you can hit the slopes at Beaver Creek in close proximity.

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
