    Middle Alta Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. And that's not all you can do here at Middle Alta Lake. Alta Reservoir Number 3 is a great lake near Middle Alta Lake; good skiing awaits you at Telluride. There are other places here than Middle Alta Lake, for example Alta Lakes; the top of Bald Mountain is easily made out from Middle Alta Lake. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Middle Alta Lake get into the 80's.  
   Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Middle Alta Lake.
So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, too glorious to be true. Gold King Basin is a brilliant place, and a great nearby hotel is Capella Telluride. There are nice sites to discover along the Sheep Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Mineral Creek -
 
               South. This lake is so wonderful. Telluride Ski & Golf Club is a glorious golf course close by, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Middle Alta Lake is Riverwood Inn and RV Park.
Middle Alta Lake gets very little rain; all through July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. You simply ought to pop by Ophir Needles while you're here at Middle Alta Lake, and Middle Alta Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Sunshine Campground is a glorious local campground. The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Middle Alta Lake has to offer. Going for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure, and float down the rapids of San Miguel River in a kayak. All year is a nice time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Don't leave Middle Alta Lake without first going for a hike along the Lizard Head Trail; some of the water nearby flows, like Waterfall Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Silverton has good slopes and a friendly staff, and a great place close by is Spring Gulch.
Middle Alta Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Middle Alta Lake, and Mountain Lodge At Telluride is a glorious location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
