Mexican Lake is a location that is rather dried out mostly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is January. During the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Mexican Lake while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Mexican Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Not sufficient hours       in a day to enjoy this spot. Dry warm beds await you at Rio Cucharas Inn And Restaurant; the Black Hills Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close by. So many amusing things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too tremendous to be true. Eldora is a great local ski area; there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Peaks Trail. Stay the night at Bearadise Cabins and RV Park, and since you're here at Mexican Lake, checking out Profile Rock is a must.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Knights Inn Walensburg is a nice choice, as expected you could also have a look at Butte Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. Mexican Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. All year is a brilliant time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. There's some flowing water nearby, Echo Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay, and Goemmer Butte is picturesque and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mexican Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Circle The wagons RV Resort is a magnificent location for that, and for you golfers we recommend close by Grandote Peaks Golf Course.
