After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Walsenburg is a nice site to spend a night or two; do take a hike on the Black Hills Trail. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Butte Reservoir is a lake in the neighborhood, and the panorama of Goemmer Butte is picturesque. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Mexican Lake. Circle The wagons RV Park is a great campground nearby, and getting to Echo Creek from Mexican       Lake is uncomplicated. So much cool stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just remarkable. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Rambler, and everybody close by loves skiing at Eldora. If you came for an overnight stay Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a fine spot to camp. Mexican Lake is a location that is rather arid frequently; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Mexican Lake is located in the                  Sangre De Cristo Mountains. And that's not everything you can do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Grandote Peaks Golf Course is a magnificent golf course close by; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Peaks Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Echo Canyon is next to Mexican Lake and is a nice spot; if you want to take a look at some exciting stuff, take a look at Profile Rock. At Mexican Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mexican Lake.
