Summertime highs at Mexican Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Mexican Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Rambler is a wonderful place to get some rest. You clearly must fancy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A cool spot to explore in the neighborhood of Mexican       Lake is Profile Rock, and if you came to camp Circle The wagons RV Park is a great spot to do that. A nice nearby hotel is Knights Inn Walensburg, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Peaks Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Mexican Lake. If you're here at Mexican Lake and you like golf, you can stop by Grandote Peaks Golf Course, and Echo Canyon is nearby, and is a splendid spot. The Black Hills                  Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Mexican Lake. There's so much to do here at Mexican Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a great site for that. Mexican Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Man, is there loads of entertaining stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Eldora; swing by Echo Creek it's a great spot to go to. This lake is so wonderful. A good view of charming Goemmer Butte is available from Mexican Lake, and going for a hike on the Wade Trail is always a great adventure.
