Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a pleasant local destination here at Meridian Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Aspen Highlands. Dry warm beds await you at Snow Crest, and camping at Maroon Lake Campground is always a fine experience. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Eagle's Nest is a delightful place to get some rest, and       Meridian Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Avery Peak Campground is a splendid local campground. Lake Brennand is a great lake near Meridian Lake, and the Granite Basin Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close by. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Meridian Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here                  at Meridian Lake. Meridian Lake is usually a quite waterless spot; most of the rain falls through August; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. On a splendid day at Meridian Lake you can take a hike along the Lowline Trail, and you can run the rapids of Oh Be Joyful Creek. It's a tremendous idea to explore Oh-be-joyful Creek, it's near Meridian Lake, and there's whitewater on East River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Meridian Lake. Meridian Lake is close to Lake Brennand Dam which is a beautiful location without doubt worth a visit, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Trail Riders Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
