All through the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Medina Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Medina Lake drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Capulin Volcano National Monument is a great national park. Lakes are good;       Lantin Lake is a lake that's right next door to Medina Lake. Medina Lake is pretty dehydrated regularly; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Camping is available at SummerLan RV Park; you're in all probability addicted to lakes, Petes Lake is one of those close by. Why not camp at Raton RV Park while you're here at Medina Lake, and if you need a location to stay Budget Host Raton is a tremendous choice.                  If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. Super 8 Raton NM is a delightful place to get some rest. So many fun things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not sufficient time.
