Do stop by McPhee Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. High temperatures at McPhee Reservoir throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at McPhee Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's. While you're here at McPhee Reservoir, you could also stop by stunning Hoppe Point Reservoir Number 1, and do take a look at Beaver Creek since you're here at McPhee Reservoir. Mountain Retreat is a nice place to camp, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway. On a delightful day at McPhee Reservoir you can take a hike along the Stoner Stock Trail, and a short tour
to Log Camp Spring is always worthwhile. Going for a hike along the McPhee Stock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and close by you locate glorious spots like Dry Canyon. This lake is so wonderful.
Paddling on Dolores River is so much fun, and at McPhee Dam close to McPhee Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Hovenweep National Monument is a very great place to have a look at right next door to McPhee
Reservoir. It is very waterless here at McPhee Reservoir usually; the month with most of the rain is October, and June meanwhile is the driest month.

La Mesa RV Park
 | 12 miles away We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again.... |
Puett Reservoir
 | 14 miles away A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed. The lake is on private land and access is limited to 3 feet above the high water line.... |
Summit Reservoir
 | 15 miles away Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only.
