For the duration of the summer at McPhee Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at McPhee Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. If you need a spot to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a brilliant choice, and Koppenhafer Reservoir is a nearby lake that you       could check out. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Dolores River for all you adrenaline people, and McPhee Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Cozy Comfort RV Park and Mountain Retreat is a tremendous local campground. So much cool stuff to do at McPhee Reservoir, so little time. Near McPhee Reservoir you hit upon Dry Canyon which is a splendid site to take a look at, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along                  the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway. Not much rain falls here at McPhee Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is mostly October, that's the one that rains the most, and June is the month with the least moisture. Hovenweep National Monument is a brilliant location close to McPhee Reservoir, and hiking along the McPhee Stock Trail is tremendous fun. Some close by water includes Beaver Creek. There's so much to do here at McPhee Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mc Phee Mobile Home and RV Park is a splendid location for that. McPhee Dam is a beautiful place close to McPhee Reservoir, and Cortez-Days Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
