Very great water scenery is available at McLellan Dam near McLellen Reservoir, and lots of folks from Denver-Aurora       come here. It's a nice idea to stop at Dutch Creek, it's in the neighborhood of McLellen Reservoir, and camping at McLellen Reservoir is perfect fun, South Park Mobile Home Park is a perfect local campground. A good location near McLellen Reservoir is Dad Clark Gulch. Lakes? Sure, McClellan Reservoir is in the neighborhood. A magnificent nearby hotel is Evergreen Motel, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Highlands Ranch Golf Club. This                  lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near McLellen Reservoir is South Platte River, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Beaver Brook Trail. It is very dried out here at McLellen Reservoir regularly; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. At McLellen Reservoir during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's.
