Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. After a long day outdoors Days Inn Alamosa is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and a wonderful lake like Medano Lake is a perfect site to have a look at. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Music Pass Trail, and if you're looking for a glorious tour, Great Sand Dunes National Monument is rather near. So many fun things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains,

If the weather is wonderful here at McKinley Clay Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Rainbow Trail, and you can stay the night at Great Sand Dunes Oasis. South Crestone Lake
 | 12 miles away Trail is awful, disappearing and reappearing every now and again. Thorn bushes and trash cover what little trail is easy to navigate. Trail disappears completely before you actually reach the lake. Also it appears that an axe murderer has taken up residence in the upperwoods. Be careful and travel in large groups if you plan to try and make it to the lake. It is easy to get lost so mark your trail well.... |
