This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave McKelvie Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Silver Spruce Trail; camping at Buzzard Campground is always a good experience. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. One of the principal marks of the surroundings of McKelvie Reservoir is Boque Mountain, and hiking is a popular       thing to do around McKelvie Reservoir; Monument Trail is a great local trail. La Quinta Inn & Suites Rifle is a pleasant site to get some rest. Lakes are good; Gander Pond is a lake that's next to McKelvie Reservoir. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at McKelvie Reservoir reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
