Near McHatton Reservoir you discover the Bailey Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail, and a great nearby hotel is Candlewood Suites CRAIG-NORTHWEST. Lakes? Sure, Lunney Reservoir is in the vicinity, and camping is available at Stagecoach Campground. This lake is so wonderful. At McHatton Reservoir you can observe Rattlesnake Mesa; if       you came for an overnight stay River Camp RV Park is a fine site to camp. McHatton Reservoir gets very little rain; October is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February. High temperatures at McHatton Reservoir through the days of summer are in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at McHatton Reservoir temperatures descend                  to the-10's. There is a good hiking trail close to McHatton Reservoir called the Sleepy Cat Trail, and there's always McHatten Dam to explore in close proximity to McHatton Reservoir.
