A visit to McHatten Reservoir is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Arrowhead Village-Beaver Creek Mountain Country Club of the Rockies is always a delight, and the High Trail is a great hiking trail close by. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. You can run the rapids of Colorado River near McHatten Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Eagle, Co.

| | little rain; the wettest month of the year is typically April, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is June. So many fun things to do in the Sawatch Range, not sufficient time. McHatten Reservoir is a great spot to camp, Sylvan Lake is a great spot; North Hardscrabble Mountain is clearly visible from McHatten Reservoir. Through the warm days of summer at McHatten Reservoir temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours
of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at McHatten Reservoir temperatures drop to the 0's. McHatten Reservoir is one of the
lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Gypsum Creek Campground is a wonderful campground here, and close by you come across Hardscrabble Saddle which is a magnificent place to take a look at.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a
spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co is a great choice, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Salt Creek Trail. Here at McHatten Reservoir you'll in all probability meet some folks from Edwards, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Antone Trail.
