Good hiking is available along the Divide Trail; a picturesque lake like Mexican Reservoir is a good place to go to. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Park Range. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at McGowan Reservoir near McGowan Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Percy Lake Trail is always a great adventure. Through       the summertime at McGowan Reservoir highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for McGowan Reservoir. If you came for an overnight stay Grizzly Creek Campground is a pleasant spot to camp; dry warm beds await you at Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums. This lake is so wonderful. Middle Fork Mexican Creek is near McGowan Reservoir and                  is always a joy to stop by; camping is available at Hidden Lakes Campground. McGowan Reservoir is pretty dry generally; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that snows the most, and August is the month with the least moisture. Go for a hike on the Newcomb Creek Trail; Winterwood Townhomes is a magnificent location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at McGowan Reservoir. There's some exciting stuff to catch a glimpse of at McGowan Dam next to McGowan Reservoir, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Steamboat.
