Pease Spring is always fun to check out, and a scenic lake like Cresto Reservoir is a nice site to visit. If you haven’t been to Mesa Verde National Park, you must schedule some time for it since you're here; dry warm beds await you at Dunton Hot Springs. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave McEwen Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Spring Creek Trail, and a good place to camp here at McEwen Reservoir is West Dolores Campground. This lake

If you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some magnificent whitewater, and everybody loves Hooray Flats. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
