All the outdoors exciting things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There are tremendous locations to look at along the Apishapa Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Rambler. It is very dry here at McEvoy Lakes commonly; August is when you get the most rain here while January is frequently       the driest month. There's so much to do here at McEvoy Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Circle The wagons RV Park is a tremendous site for that, and going for a hike on the Black Hills Trail is always a delightful adventure. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at McEvoy Lakes. Eldora is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and Grandote Peaks Golf Course is a good golf course close by. This lake is one of the                  great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There is a great hiking trail close to McEvoy Lakes called the Wahatoya Trail, and Knights Inn Walensburg is a tremendous location to get some rest. Throughout the summertime months highs here at McEvoy Lakes reach the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 30's; night lows throughout the winter for McEvoy Lakes tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
