A visit to McDonough Reservoir is always a good idea. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The San Juan Mountains rules! Going for a hike along the Skyline Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you came for an overnight stay Stone Cellar Campground is a magnificent place to camp. | | 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to McDonough Reservoir.
You could also stop by McDonough Reservoir Number 1 since you're here at McDonough Reservoir; it's close by, and Cebolla Campground is a wonderful campground here. This lake is so wonderful.
