At McDonough Reservoir during the summertime highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at McDonough Reservoir temperatures dip to the-10's. And that's not all the things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Camping is available at Stone Cellar Campground, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Devils Hole Trail.

McDonough Reservoir Number 1 is a nearby lake that you
could check out, and why not a little side visit to Blue Creek. There is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to McDonough Reservoir called the Skyline Trail; GUNNISON LODGING COMPANY is a perfect site to get some rest. McDonough
Reservoir is a location that is reasonably dried out usually; August is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
