This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Gotta ski! Eldora is a fine spot to do that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything McDonald Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Circle The wagons RV Park. Summertime highs at McDonald Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter       highs are in the 30's while McDonald Reservoir nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. Not far from McDonald Reservoir, you'll find Marker Lake which is a beautiful lake, and some exciting geology is available here, Profile Rock is right here. All year is a delightful time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you adore the outdoors. Don't leave McDonald Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Wade Trail, and a round                  of golf at nearby Grandote Peaks Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at McDonald Reservoir you could always explore Echo Canyon, and there are brilliant locations to discover along the Black Hills Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Hayes Reservoir is around here, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Rambler is a glorious place to spend a night or two. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too pleasant to be true. There's wonderful hiking along the West Peak Trail; Knights Inn Walsenburg is a great site to get some rest. McDonald Reservoir is pretty waterless generally; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Looking for some flowing water?
