At McDonald Reservoir through the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to McDonald Reservoir. So many amusing things to do at McDonald Reservoir, so little time. Have a fine hiking adventure along the West Peak Trail; it's a perfect idea to stop at       Echo Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Echo Canyon is always fun, and McDonald Reservoir is right by the Black Hills Trail. So much enjoyable stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just striking. Take a hike on the Wade Trail, and while you're here you can play some golf at Grandote Peaks Golf Course. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Walensburg, and camping is available at Bearadise Cabins and RV Park. Really great skiing awaits you at                  Eldora; if you came for an overnight stay Circle The wagons RV Park is a nice location to camp. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you need a site to stay Best Western Rambler is a wonderful choice; some out of the ordinary geology is available here, Profile Rock is right here. It is very waterless here at McDonald Reservoir commonly; the month with most of the rain is August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
