At McClellan Reservoir all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; overnight lows at McClellan Reservoir during the winter regularly sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular spot for folks from Denver-Aurora. This lake is so wonderful.       Wolhurst Lake is a tremendous lake in the neighborhood of McClellan Reservoir, and Dad Clark Gulch is nearby, and is a great place. Highlands Ranch Golf Club is a glorious golf course close by, and after a long day outdoors Residence Inn By Marriott Denver Highlands Ranch is a great location to spend a night or two. There's splendid hiking along the Beaver Brook Trail, and South Platte River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Visit Dutch Creek while you're                  here at McClellan Reservoir, and there's always McLellan Dam to stop by near McClellan Reservoir. At McClellan Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the rain is May while January is usually the driest month.
