McCargar Reservoir is right by the Elkhorn Stock Driveway. There's so much to do here at McCargar Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Dutch Hill Campground is a good spot for that. The Park Range scenery is always beautiful. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool things to do in the Park Range. Elk River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby,       and you can stay the night at Sunrise Vista Campground. It is very waterless here at McCargar Reservoir frequently; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the months of summer here at McCargar Reservoir, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime                  lows in the 10's for McCargar Reservoir. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; McCargar Reservoir has it all. McCargar Dam is a spot that is near McCargar Reservoir.
