Camping at Kite Lake Campground is always a great experience. Lakes? Sure, Lower Mohawk Lake is in the neighborhood. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Mayflower Lakes, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Mayflower Lakes dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. Camping       is available at Tiger Run Resort, and one of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of Mayflower Lakes is Father Dyer Peak. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do close to Mayflower Lakes. If you're here at Mayflower Lakes, you could stop at Crystal Creek, and if you come at the right time of year, Tenmile Creek offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Crested Butte is a tremendous site to do that, and the Burro Trail is a                  good hiking trail close by. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. Lots of people from Silverthorne come to Mayflower Lakes. If you need a location to stay Los Pinos by ResortQuest is a perfect choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Arkansas River. Dry warm beds await you at Crystal Peak Lodge, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Wheeler Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Mayflower Lakes called the Wheeler Trail; Upper Blue Dam is not far at all from Mayflower Lakes. What would winter be without some skiing at Breckenridge, and Mohawk Lake is a great lake nearby.
