    The beauty of Mayflower Lakes is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Breckenridge is close to Mayflower Lakes, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Arkansas River. Mayflower Lakes is right by the Wheeler Trail; camping is available at Tiger Run Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Wheeler Trail is magnificent fun, and a good place to camp here at Mayflower Lakes is Kite Lake Campground.
 
   Nearby lakes? Sure, Lower Mohawk Lake is right next door to Mayflower Lakes, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Los Pinos by ResortQuest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Father Dyer Peak is easy to spot from Mayflower Lakes, and let's not forget Crystal Creek which is a stream that you may run into during your stay. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! If you need a place to stay Crystal Peak Lodge is a brilliant choice, and naturally, this is a great region for folks who like lakes, Mohawk Lake is a lake nearby. At Upper Blue Dam next to Mayflower Lakes there are some interesting things to see, and do take a hike on the Burro Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Mayflower Lakes get into the 70's with night lows in the 30's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mayflower Lakes are in the-10's.
Mayflower Lakes is commonly a relatively dry place; through July this area sees the most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. A day on the slopes of Crested Butte is just what you need, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tenmile Creek.
