This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Golden Gate, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Maxwell Reservoir in close proximity to Maxwell Lake, it's a stunning lake; golf can be played at Flatirons Golf Course. Maxwell Lake is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. It is very dried out here at Maxwell       Lake regularly; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture. At Maxwell Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Maxwell Lake. A visit to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended, and after a long day outdoors St Julien Boulder*s Hotel and Spa is a delightful                  spot to spend a night or two. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. If you're here, you might as well go to Fourmile Canyon, and unsurprisingly Gregory Creek is a pretty stream that is worth stopping at. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Front Range. Wonderland Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; hiking along the Bear Peak Trail is splendid fun. Stone Mountain Lodge and RV Park is a good campground nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Saddle Rock Trail. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Maxwell Lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Boulder here. Mount Sanitas is a peak you can see from Maxwell Lake, and Boulder Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Maxwell Lake.
