McKenzie Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay, and Mountain Lodge At Telluride is a glorious place to get some rest. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Why not camp at Iron Spring Campground while you're here at Mavriat Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cottonwood Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre       Plateau Mountains. Mavriat Reservoir is pretty dehydrated mostly; most of the rain falls through July, and February on the other hand is the driest. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in close proximity to Mavriat Reservoir. Camping at Mavriat Reservoir is great fun, Antone Spring Campground is a great local campground, and you'll probably meet some people from Montrose here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year,                  San Miguel River offers some great whitewater, and Homestead Spring is always fun to check out. Not far from Mavriat Reservoir, you'll stumble on Craig Draw Reservoir which is a lovely lake; the Horsefly Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River; do take a hike on the Dry Creek Trail. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Mavriat Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's.
