Matheson Reservoir is located in the Park Range. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Matheson Reservoir; Siebert Creek Trail is a delightful local trail, and Summit at SilverCreek is a tremendous location to get some rest. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hay Park Trail, and naturally Birdseye Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit. High       temperatures at Matheson Reservoir through the days of summer are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Matheson Reservoir are in the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. There's great hiking along the Arapaho Creek Trail, and Wolford Campground is a great campground nearby. Do go to Matheson Dam since you're here at Matheson Reservoir;                  Colorado River is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. Matheson Reservoir is a location that is rather arid frequently; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Matheson Reservoir.
