If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Mason Reservoir. Around Mason Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; July is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. On a beautiful day you get a panorama of Almagre Mountain from Mason Reservoir. Don't leave Mason Reservoir without first checking out Windy Point, and if you came for an overnight stay Wye Campground is a great place to camp.

| | wonderful. If you need a location to stay Best Value Inn Villa Motel is a brilliant choice, and why not visit Mason Dam while you're here. All the outdoors cool things in the Front Range will keep you coming back over and over. Take a hike on the Barr Trail, and don't miss out on a trip to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Bull Park is a great site here at Mason Reservoir; perhaps you're looking for close by lakes?
Sure, Dead Lake is just a very short distance away. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Mason Reservoir get into the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's;
night lows in the 0's for Mason Reservoir. Mason Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Front Range.
After a long day outdoors The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a good place to spend a night or two; why not camp at Clyde
Campground while you're here at Mason Reservoir. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Front Range. It's a great idea to have a look at Boehmer Creek, it's close to Mason Reservoir, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Palmer Trail.
