Annie Lakes is a wonderful lake in close proximity to Lake Mary Alice, and you can stay the night at Vallecito Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Kendall Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Vallecito Creek. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Lake Mary Alice has to offer. You get a splendid sight of Buffalo Peak from Lake Mary Alice, and if the weather is splendid,

| | you can go for a hike along the Deer Park Trail. Throughout the months of summer at Lake Mary Alice temperatures are usually in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Mary Alice temperatures descend to the 0's. the natural beauty of this vicinity. There's so much to do here at Lake Mary Alice that you need to camp here for a while, Pine River Campground is a wonderful location for that. So many exciting things in the San Juan and Jemez
Mountains, just phenomenal. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Animas River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway. It is very dry here at Lake Mary Alice commonly; August is when you
get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
