It is very arid here at Martin Reservoir typically; the month of March is the wettest with most of the snow; June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a lovely lake called Martin Creek Reservoir near Martin Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Buffalo Park Trail is always a wonderful adventure. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Martin Reservoir has it all. Camping       at Poulter Colorado Camps is always a good experience; a fine nearby hotel is Oak Tree Inn Yampa. A day on the slopes of Howelsen Hill is just what you need, and get covered with water paddling on Elk River. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Lots of folks from Edwards come to Martin Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn By Marriott Steamboat Springs is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. At Martin                  Dam right next door to Martin Reservoir there are some interesting things to see, and the Service Creek Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. While you're here at Martin Reservoir, you could also go to beautiful Henderson Reservoir, and Yellow Jacket Pass is another great location to take a look at close by. If you came to camp Stagecoach is a splendid site to do that; nearby you come across the Muddy Slide Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Steamboat is in close proximity to Martin Reservoir, and there's some flowing water nearby, Middle Creek is a stream you can go to while here. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Martin Reservoir, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
