There's so much to do here at Marolt Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Maroon Creek Campground 1 is a nice place for that, and if you come at the right time of year, Roaring Fork offers some perfect whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Blue Creek Trail; a day on the slopes of Aspen Highlands is just what you need. Don't leave Marolt Reservoir without first going for                  a hike along the Trail Riders Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Aspen Mountain is pretty near. It is very arid here at Marolt Reservoir generally; most of the rain falls during April; June is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Marolt Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and night lows at Marolt Reservoir throughout the wintertime generally descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
