There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Aspen Mountain, and do take a look at Spring Creek since you're here at Marolt Reservoir. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Marolt Reservoir. Not much rain falls here at Marolt Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is commonly April, that's the one that rains the most, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Not far from Marolt Reservoir, you'll hit upon Wildcat Reservoir

After a long day outdoors The Inn at Aspen by ResortQuest is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Edwards for sure. Maroon Creek Campground 2 is a nice place for that; why not take a refreshing hike along the Blue Creek Trail. There's whitewater on Roaring Fork for all you adrenaline people, and do take a hike on the Sawyer Lake Trail. The
Trail Riders Trail offers hiking at its best, and the peak of Cozy Point can be observed from Marolt Reservoir. High temperatures at Marolt Reservoir through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the
50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Marolt Reservoir through the winter usually descend into the 0's. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Marolt Reservoir.
Lakes are good; Whites Lake is a lake that's close to Marolt Reservoir, and pleasant skiing awaits you at Aspen Highlands.

LEDE Reservoir
 | 16 miles away What happened to the water as of 10-20-9? We drove up to catch a couple trout only to find the lake has been drained? ...Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
