    It's always fun to stop by Marma Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Marma Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Marma Lake are in the 0's. Beaver Creek West Condominiums is a perfect place to get some rest, and there's splendid hiking along the Cache Creek Access Trail. Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Marma Lake. If  
   you like skiing, you're in luck; Vail is near Marma Lake.
Marma Lake is a beautiful lake in the Park Range. Having a good time in the Park Range is painless. A tremendous location near Marma Lake is Grass Gulch; a day on the slopes of Beaver Creek is just what you need. You can run the rapids of Eagle River close to Marma Lake; Marma Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Learning Camp is a magnificent local campground.
Not enough hours
 
               in a day to enjoy this site. While you're here at Marma Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Edwards; get your pulse rate up on the nice whitewater of Eagle River. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Marma Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Piney Crossing Campground is a great place for that; a lake close by is Horse Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant trip to Rock Creek Park is a good way to spend an afternoon, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Marma Lake; Red Canyon Stock Driveway is a good local trail.
But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Park Range. Marma Lake is not the only location close by, James Spring Reservoir is a close by lake, and tremendous hiking is available along the Rock Creek Trail. Around Marma Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Don't forget to take a magnificent little trip to First Fork South Fork Piney River, and dry warm beds await you at The Westin Riverfront Mountain Villas - Opening May 28, 2009.

Upper Piney Lake

We had a great time hiking to Upper Piney Lake over 4th of July weekend, 2006. Although the views are out of this world, the hike will take everything out of you that you've got. I would highly recommend this hike. Make sure you have everything you need for AT LEAST 2 days. The hike to Upper Piney will take 8 hours (all up hill)...But only 4 hours to get back to Piney River Ranch....
