The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. A quick journey to Echo Creek next to Marker Lake is a perfect idea; the summit of Goemmer Butte can be spotted from Marker Lake. Marker Lake gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. At Mill Lake Dam next to Marker Lake there are       some out of the ordinary things to see; after a long day outdoors Best Western Rambler is a splendid location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Marker Lake called the Peaks Trail; a good close by hotel is Knights Inn Walensburg. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Eldora; Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a great local campground. Having                  a splendid time at Marker Lake is trouble-free. On a splendid day at Marker Lake you can take a hike along the Black Hills Trail, and a golf course nearby is Grandote Peaks Golf Course. Summertime at Marker Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Marker Lake sink into the 0's. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
