Getting to Marion Lake is fun as well as the hiking sites along the way (Marion Mine, and others) but I wouldn't say this is a tourist stop. OK place to grab a few fish, but stay well-hidden. For the period of the days of summer at Marion Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Marion Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along       the Snowslide Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Days Inn Colorado is a splendid spot to get some rest. Just can't get enough of Marion Lake. Take a hike on the Saint Charles Trail, and if you get bored of Marion Lake you could also stop at close by Eagle Scout Lake Reservoir. Marion Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever wanna return                  home again. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Florence Canon City A is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Aspen Acres Campground is a magnificent site to do that, and Lake Isabel is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a brilliant time. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Cisneros Trail, and camping at Ophir Creek Campground is always a nice experience.
