Getting to Marion Lake is fun as well as the hiking sites along the way (Marion Mine, and others) but I wouldn't say this is a tourist stop. OK place to grab a few fish, but stay well-hidden. It is a level area and a quick walk can be made to Greenhorn Mountain Road. Camping at Marion Lake is brilliant fun, Ophir Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Saint Charles Trail. The warmest time of the year at Marion Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Marion Lake temperatures sink to       the 0's. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Aspen Acres Campground is a splendid spot to camp; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Snowslide Trail. Marion Lake gets very little rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest. After a long day outdoors Hotel Shopping Network is a perfect                  site to spend a night or two, and it's a pleasant idea to take a look at Ricardo Creek. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Marion Lake. If you need a site to stay Colorado City CO Days Inn is a great choice. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more fun things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
