Maria Reservoir is pretty dry generally; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A good site to camp here at Maria Reservoir is Country Host Motel and RV Park, and of course, this is a wonderful neighborhood for folks who       like lakes, Valdez Lake is a lake in close proximity. Santa Clara Creek flows through this region, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Holita Reservoir. Maria Reservoir is not far at all from Pueblo; why not camp at Dakota Campground while you're here at Maria Reservoir. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Maria Reservoir has it all. After a long day outdoors Best Western Rambler is a great location                  to spend a night or two.
