It is very dried out here at Lake Margaret regularly; December is the month that gets the most snow; August on the other hand is the driest. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area right next door to Lake Margaret has to offer. You can run the rapids of Elk River in close proximity to Lake Margaret, and if you need a place to stay Western Lodge is a tremendous choice. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more fun things

| | to do in the Park Range. If the weather is pleasant here at Lake Margaret, you can go for a hike along the Big Creek Lake Trail, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Edward is just a very short distance away.

Lake Campground is a great local campground, and Horse Thief Park is a nice location here at Lake Margaret. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Park Range. If you're here at Lake
Margaret, you could stop at East Branch South Fork Mad Creek, and a delightful close by hotel is Village at Steamboat.
If you like skiing, you're in luck; Steamboat is near Lake Margaret, and if you've had enough of Lake Margaret,
Lake Margaret is close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range. Camping at Summit Lake Campground is always a perfect experience; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Crags Trail.
This lake
is so wonderful. From Lake Margaret you obtain a splendid sight of Horse Thief Peak, and Howelsen Hill is a glorious local ski area. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Margaret. All through the summertime highs here at Lake
Margaret get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 20's; night lows at Lake Margaret during the wintertime typically fall into the-10's.
