Lake Margaret is a nice lake to visit. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Park Range. Really great skiing awaits you at Howelsen Hill, and a pleasant trip to Horse Thief Park is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. Skiing at Steamboat is one of those things you just ought to do, and why not camp at Summit Lake Campground if you're here at Lake Margaret. Lake Margaret is one of the lakes here

And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. Soar down the rapids of Elk River in a kayak; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Margaret; Luna Lake Trail is a great local trail. Camping is available at Dry Lake Campground; do take a hike on the Crags Trail. Through the warm months at Lake Margaret temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The | |

winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Lake Margaret dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
Lake Margaret is pretty arid frequently; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month
of the year is August. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Elk River offers some good whitewater, and you acquire a splendid view of Horse Thief Peak from here. Dry warm beds await you at Western Lodge,
and swing by East Branch South Fork Mad Creek it's a fine spot to visit.
If you need a place to stay Village at Steamboat is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Creek Lake Trail; there are other places here than Lake Margaret, for example Lake Edward.
