If you are in Routt county it's always a good idea to stop by Lake Margaret. So much fun stuff to do here at Lake Margaret, too magnificent to be true. East Branch South Fork Mad Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Howelsen Hill. Western Lodge is a good location to get some rest. All through the warmest time of the year at Lake Margaret temperatures are usually in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. During the wintertime highs are usually
in the 20's while Lake Margaret overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the-10's. A pretty lake like Lake Edward in close proximity to Lake Margaret is a great spot to explore, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure
along the Big Creek Lake Trail.
