But wait, there's more to do close to Marchiori Reservoir. A round of golf at nearby Walsenburg Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time, and Cherry Creek is in close proximity to Marchiori Reservoir and is always a diversion to stop at. Marchiori Reservoir is a location that is rather dried up ordinarily; August is the wettest month with most rain, and January       is the month with the least moisture. Stay the night at Dakota Campground, and charming scenery and good skiing is what you acquire at Eldora. Marchiori Reservoir is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Marchiori Reservoir is in the neighborhood of Marchiori Dam which is a beautiful location without doubt worth stopping at, and going for a hike on the Apishapa Trail is always a tremendous adventure.                  Marchiori Reservoir is a good site to visit for more than one day, Lathrop is a good site to camp nearby, and nearby you locate the Wahatoya Trail which is a good hiking trail. And if that's not enough there's loads more enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. After a long day outdoors Best Western Rambler is a good place to spend a night or two, and Knights Inn Walensburg is a great location to get some rest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Marchiori Reservoir. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's while Marchiori Reservoir overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
