    The beauty of Mancos Reservoir Number 1 is reason enough to stop by. If you come at the right time of year, White River offers some brilliant whitewater, and naturally, all our national parks are delightful sites to explore and Dinosaur National Monument is no exception. Mancos Reservoir Number 1 gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls during October, and the driest of the months is January. It's always glorious to pop by Wild Horse Spring, and lakes are  
   such calm spots, why not pop by Mancos Reservoir Number 2.
Through the warm days of summer highs here at Mancos Reservoir Number 1 get into the 80's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, generally in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Mancos Reservoir Number 1 dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mancos Reservoir Number 1 that you
 
               need to camp here for a while, Deerlodge Park Campground is a great place for that, and everybody loves Maverick Flats. Soar down the rapids of Yampa River in a kayak.
