If you are in Gilpin county it's always a good idea to stop by Manchester Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. It is very dry here at Manchester Lake commonly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Manchester Lake is a tremendous site to camp, Reverends Ridge Campground is a tremendous site. This lake is so wonderful. Ellsworth Creek is a good local stream; dry warm

There are some delightful whitewater spots on Boulder Creek - South; Manchester Lake is in the neighborhood of Gamble Gulch which is certainly worth going to. is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Switzerland Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Winter Park. This is no place for people
who don’t like to have fun. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Manchester Lake has to offer, you can camp at Central City/Blackhawk KOA, and at Manchester Lake you can observe Fritz Peak. So many fun things in
the Front Range, just striking. Lakes are great; Beaver Lake is a lake that's near Manchester Lake; you can go for a hike on the Bolling Gulch Trail. You don’t have to go far from Manchester Lake to see the water at Camp Shoshoni Dam; delightful hiking is available along the Mount Thorodin Trail.
