Main Reservoir is frequently a rather arid site; May is when you get                  the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's whitewater on South Platte River for all you adrenaline junkies. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Main Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at South Park Lodge and RV Park. During your spree to Main Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Denver-Aurora for sure, and the Beaver Brook Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Bear Creek. There's so much to do here at Main Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, The Prospect RV Park is a delightful location for that. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Main Reservoir, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's.
